1. About DEN
DEN Marketplace is an online marketplace that connects independent furniture makers and designers (vendors) with buyers in the United Kingdom. By using DEN you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
- You must be 18 or over to create an account
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure
- You must provide accurate information when registering
- One account per person — do not create multiple accounts
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms
3. Buying on DEN
- When you place an order you enter a contract directly with the vendor, not with DEN
- DEN acts as the payment intermediary and marketplace operator
- Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable
- Orders are confirmed once payment is successfully processed
- Delivery times and shipping costs are set by individual vendors
- Free delivery is available on orders over £500 where indicated
4. Returns and refunds
- You have the right to return most items within 30 days of receipt
- Items must be returned in their original condition
- Made-to-order items may not be eligible for return unless faulty
- Contact the vendor directly in the first instance for returns
- If a vendor does not resolve your issue, contact DEN at help@den.co.uk
- Refunds are processed within 14 days of the return being accepted
5. Selling on DEN
- Vendors must apply and be approved before listing products
- DEN charges a 5% commission on each sale
- Payouts are processed monthly to your registered bank account via Stripe
- Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their product listings
- Vendors must fulfil orders promptly and communicate with buyers
- DEN reserves the right to remove listings that violate our policies
- Vendors must comply with all applicable UK trading laws
- Vendors are responsible for their own VAT obligations
6. Prohibited items
The following may not be listed on DEN:
- Counterfeit or replica items
- Items that infringe intellectual property rights
- Hazardous materials
- Items that do not comply with UK safety regulations
- Any item that is illegal to sell in the UK
7. Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. DEN does not store card or bank details. By purchasing on DEN you also agree to Stripe's terms of service at stripe.com/legal.
8. Intellectual property
Vendors retain ownership of their product images and descriptions. By listing on DEN you grant us a licence to display your content on the platform. DEN's branding, design, and code are our intellectual property.
9. Limitation of liability
DEN is a marketplace platform. We are not the seller of goods listed by vendors. Our liability is limited to the commission we have received on a transaction. We are not liable for vendor conduct, product quality, or delivery issues beyond our reasonable control.
10. Disputes between buyers and vendors
In the first instance, buyers and vendors should resolve disputes directly. If this is not possible, contact DEN at help@den.co.uk and we will mediate. DEN's decision in disputes is final.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of DEN after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
